Programs by age

A program that meets your child where they are.

4–7
Little Melodies
30-minute lessons

Gentle introduction to rhythm and melody through games, short shabads, and call-and-response singing. Parents are welcome in the room.

8–12
Youth
45-minute lessons

Your child learns their first raag properly. Builds vocal confidence, ear training, and the discipline of weekly practice — in a warm, encouraging setting.

13+
Teen & Adult
60-minute lessons

Full Gurmat Sangeet and Indian classical curriculum. Choose vocal or instrument. Many adult students join us returning to the tradition their family sang.

How a lesson works

Four steps. Every Tuesday at 4pm.

Arrive & settle

Your child walks into the studio, sees their teacher, and gets a few minutes to warm up the voice.

Warm-up

15 minutes of alankar and aaroha-avroha — gentle scales that build the foundation of the raag.

03

New material

20 minutes learning the next phrase or bandish, with patient teacher correction.

04

Practice plan

10 minutes reviewing the week and assigning practice for home — small, doable goals.
